The Long Game will be held at Iceland Arena, in Mississauga on October 7th. 

World Girls Hockey Weekend– What Can I Do? 
Each team in Ontario has a wonderful opportunity to celebrate the success of Female Hockey and the opportunities it brings to everyone in Ontario, Canada and the World to play hockey and to grow as people.


World Girls Hockey Weekend– What Can I Do?
 
Each team in Ontario has a wonderful opportunity to celebrate the success of Female Hockey and the opportunities it brings to everyone in Ontario, Canada and the World to play hockey and to grow as people.
 
SOME IDEAS
Promotion
·       Send a release/information to your local media noting that the OWHA, Canada and the World are celebrating female hockey and your team and association are part of this. This is a wonderful time to secure media coverage. 
 
Suggestions on dedicating your activities to the World Celebration   
1)    Dedicate a practice to the celebration
2)    Dedicate a game to the celebration
3)    Celebrate having an “opponent” so you can play a game
4)    Have a ceremonial puck drop – opportunity to invite a special person to drop the puck
5)    Display flags/signs from countries with female hockey
6)    Have an international trivia challenge
7)    Social media – celebrate through social media if team is not together that weekend  
8)    Twitter is @OWHAHockey
