SOME IDEAS
Promotion
·       Send a release/information to your local media noting that the OWHA, Canada and the World are celebrating female hockey and your team and association are part of this. This is a wonderful time to secure media coverage.

Suggestions on dedicating your activities to the World Celebration
1)    Dedicate a practice to the celebration
2)    Dedicate a game to the celebration
3)    Celebrate having an “opponent” so you can play a game
4)    Have a ceremonial puck drop – opportunity to invite a special person to drop the puck
5)    Display flags/signs from countries with female hockey
6)    Have an international trivia challenge
7)    Social media – celebrate through social media if team is not together that weekend
8)    Twitter is @OWHAHockey
