No Food or Drink in the Recreation Centres
The Town of Orangeville sent the following update regarding food and drinks in the recreation centres:

As per the Provincial announcement on Friday, December 17th, food is not permitted to be sold or served in recreation facilities.  This not only applies to large professional sports stadiums but also our small rec centres.  Please see the snip below.  Patrons will be asked to consume their food and drink outside of the recreation centres if they arrive with it.  Signs will also be posted on the vending machines that food is “to go”.  In my discussions with other municipalities, this will be enforced in other locations outside of Orangeville including our neighbours in Centre Wellington.

2.1. Food and drinks must not be sold or served to patrons in an indoor area of the facility, but may be sold or served to patrons in restaurants, bars or other food or drink establishments located within the facility if,

               i.   the restaurant, bar or other food or drink establishment is operating in accordance with section 1, and

ii.   the food or drink is consumed in the restaurant, bar or other food or drink establishment.

 Thank you,
