Peewee BB Wins Gold in Caledon
Submitted By Derek Foulger on Sunday, September 8, 2019
The Orangeville Tigers Peewee BB girls hockey team are off to a winning start this season. They defeated the Etobicoke dolphins 4-3 to capture the gold medal at the Caledon Coyotes "Place to B" tournament held in Caledon East this past weekend. The Tigers had only one loss in the round robin to their eventual competitors in the final. The Dolphins were undefeated heading into the gold medal game. However, the Tigers were persistent and relentless in their forechecking and got off to a 3-1 lead. Etobicoke rallied back to tie the game but Taylor Benoit scored the winning goal with a top shelf shot in the 3rd period. The team played with a focus on the details and were determined in their play. Congratulations to all players on a great weekend of hockey.
