Hello Tiger Families
We wanted to share a few updates with you.
As you are all aware, things are changing rapidly throughout the Province. Wellington-Dufferin-Guelph Public Health moved into the Restrict - Orange stage on Monday November 16th. For hockey purposes, there are no changes to protocols at this time. We do however want to remind families that only 1 parent/guardian is allowed in the arena per family. There are no siblings, friends or significant others allowed during this time.
PLAN FOR THE CONTROL – RED STAGE
The OGHA has been formulating a plan in the event that we move to the Control – Red stage. If this were to happen, our program would move from modified games to offering skills and drills only. A maximum of 10 people would be allowed on the ice at once, which includes the instructor/coach. A schedule would be created and shared with all teams. Families would have the option to opt out of participating in the skills programs if they are uncomfortable attending. We are remaining optimistic that this won’t happen but want to be prepared nevertheless. More details will follow if it is announced that we will be moving to the Control – Red stage.
BLOCK 2 STARTS SOON
We are half way through Block 1 of this season. Block 2 will commence on January 4th. If you are not planning on playing in Block 2 please email our Director of Registration, Janice Renzoni, as soon as possible. If you are a current Tigers player you do not need to re-register or email.
Thank you once again for your co-operation and understanding during this extraordinary time.
