What a weekend! Tournament hockey is never easy — it’s physically and emotionally exhausting — and the 47th Annual Huntsville Girls Hockey Tournament certainly delivered on both.
Our girls battled through five hard-fought games, finishing 4–1 and coming up just one goal short in the finals, bringing home a well-deserved silver medal. They scored 13 goals and allowed only 6 all tournament — an incredible team effort.
What stood out most wasn’t just the results, but the heart. The effort, their attitude, and their refusal to give up at any point was truly inspiring. The girls fought hard, dug deep, and motivated each other to be better — pushing one another to compete and to believe. That kind of character goes far beyond the rink.
Beyond the wins and the medals, I know these Tigers created lifelong memories together this weekend — and that is the real victory.
Regardless of who brought home the banner, these Tigers came back from Huntsville champions in my books.
I also want to congratulate the U15B Tigers on their well-earned silver medal as well, also falling just one goal short in their finals. Also, congrats to the U11B Tigers Team, who narrowly missed the semifinals by just one goal on differential- an incredible effort.
An outstanding weekend for the entire Tigers organization. I couldn’t be more grateful to be part of this team, this organization, and this Tigers family.
